Communication objectives
Create a motivational / incentive event and conference that was truly memorable and would work as a reward for 1000 members of staff. To recognise those individuals that had shown significant improvement in their roles.
Overall communication objective was to create a “communication buzz” throughout the organisation that would help improve motivational levels, sales and decrease attrition rates. The event was used as a platform to communicate key performance messages to staff, as part of an integrated communications programme.
Event description
The creative concept of ‘Stars in Our Eyes’ was applied to every aspect of the event.
The programme commenced with themed food and entertainment from Italy, China, the USA and Morocco.
The next morning there was a short, motivational and highly interactive conference, followed by a private showing of the ‘Lion King’.
In the evening, delegates enjoyed a Champagne cruise on a flotilla of Thames cruisers; guests arrived at ExCeL, to be greeted by 150 screaming fans, plus pop star and Hollywood look-alikes.
Gary Rhodes created the menu and appeared in person, the climax of the evening was the ‘surprise’ reveal of Will Young and his band. Senior executives then performed a carefully rehearsed song and dance routine that brought the house down.
